OverviewThis course will examine the influence of diet and exercise on health, fitness and well-being. During the course students will learn about - the functions of nutrients in the body; how the body responds to exercise training; how to determine if students' own diet and exercise is meeting current recommendations; how to develop an exercise program to improve health and fitness; how to use diet and exercise to maintain a healthy body weight and how nutrition can be used to enhance exercise performance. The course is structured in a way that will allow the application of knowledge gained about diet and exercise to improve students' own health and fitness.

Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam and/or pre-requisites.
Some courses may require additional fees.
Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
