OverviewThis subject introduces students to the techniques and processes used in contemporary painting. Through project-based experimentation students are guided through a range of different painting techniques and their application in the production of aesthetically and materially developed artworks. This subject aims to create an informed and critical methodology for the use of contemporary painting technology as a vehicle for imaging ideas. It is also concerned with developing skills and a visual language through a range of painting media.

Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
