OverviewThis subject focuses on two of the major genocides of the 20th century: the Armenian and Jewish experiences. Students may select a second option for study and assignment ? a choice ranging from genocide in the ancient world through to considerations of, for example, Aboriginal Australia, events in contemporary Tibet, Burundi, Rwanda, Bosnia, Kosovo, the Kurds in the Middle East, the issue of East Timor and Cambodia.

Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
