Overview
This course covers the use of econometric and statistical techniques relevant to forecasting in a business environment and computer implementation of these methods. Building and evaluating short-term forecasting models using time series analysis will be the focus, and applications will be emphasised in this non-specialist course. Understanding these issues will allow students to select and use the most appropriate methods and models to analyse historical data with the aim of predicting future outcomes.
