OverviewThe course will focus on Shakespeare's contribution to English drama. Students will study a range of Shakespeare's plays from different dramatic sub-genres (history, tragedy, comedy, romance, problem play) and will be introduced to a range of critical approaches to those plays. The course both acknowledges and provides opportunities to interrogate Shakespeare's exceptional position within English studies as a benchmark of literary excellence and a core presence within literary education.
Courses and course hours of instruction are subject to change.
Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
