Students will address how designs affect our cognitive system. It will discuss state of the art theories and approaches for designing with affective states, behaviour, expectations and desires in mind. There will be a strong aesthetic and creative goal in mind through research and design projects.
Students who pass this course should be able to:
1: Investigate psychology topics in depth from a design perspective.
2: Design with a specific intention to address people?s cognitive, behavioural or emotional systems.
3: Assess people?s responses to a design.
4: Report on design psychology research from a design perspective.
5: Present their work effectively.

Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam and/or pre-requisites.
Some courses may require additional fees.
Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
Please reference fall and spring course lists as not all courses are taught during both semesters.
Availability of courses is based on enrollment numbers. All students should seek pre-approval for alternate courses in the event of last minute class cancellations
