PURPOSE
The purpose of this module is to develop an understanding of the basic principles and practices and their applications in a business environment.LEARNING OUTCOMES
The student will be able to:
solve simple and simultaneous algebraic equations;draw and interpret straight-line and two dimensional graphs;calculate and apply simple and compound interest;
calculate mark-ups, transport trade-offs and do profit and loss calculations;

determine ratios and proportions;

understand and determine break-even analysis;
