Becoming a Psychologist (Applications of Pyschology)

Course Content:

This module will cover different areas of professional/applied psychology. It will engage
students in what becoming a practitioner in psychology involves. Professional psychology
and applied psychology are the two main areas of coverage. Professional psychology
(primarily the autumn semester will cover the practice and methods of qualifications in
the main areas of the profession. Applications of psychology (primarily spring semester)
will examine in more detail a selection of substantive areas in which a practitioner would
be involved as a psychologist.
