    Course Content:

    The module aims to enable students to develop the analytical skills necessary to make a
    positive contribution to issues concerning Operations and Project Management and
    describe the strategic contribution that effective Operations and Project Management
    can play within organisations.

    Topics covered include:

    Autumn Semester: (Operations Management)
    ? Introduction to Operations
    ? Developing and implementing an Operations
    ? Designing services and products
    ? Delivering services and making products
    ? Managing capacity
    ? Location and layout
    ? Scheduling and executing operations and projects
    ? Managing quality and the supply chain
    ? Improving operations and project performance

    Spring Semester (Project Management):
    ? Introduction to Project Management
    ? Managing risk and uncertainty
    ? Leadership in Project Management: Leading operations and project teams
    ? Project strategy: scope, schedule, methodologies, communications.
    ? Project planning, control, and closure.
    ? Project quality
    ? Project management software

    Teaching: Lectures, tutorials, and lab based sessions

    STUDY OPTION 1:
