    Course Content:

    Museums and galleries face many challenges at the beginning of the 21st century. This
    module explores possible museum and gallery futures through a series of scenarios and
    case studies that are often based on the thinking and planning of leading institutions.
    Scenarios consider both internal and external factors both within the UK and globally.

    The module aims to provide a critical and creative platform from which the student can
    imagine possible museum and gallery futures. The module empowers students to
    develop their own research through a combination of related policy and practice-based
    assessments, helping them to consider museum and gallery futures within a broadly
    vocational environment.

    The module is multi-sited, taking place in classrooms and museums and galleries, always
    seeking to locate a student?s research within wider professional contexts and concerns.
