Overview
An introduction to approaches, methods and processes used in social science research. The module
covers the various steps of doing research, from project design through to data analysis and presentation, in relation to both the academic dissertation and professional report. It discusses the requirement for ethics and integrity in the conduct of research. Consideration is also given to the contribution of research to knowledge, policy and public discourse, and the role of the researcher in public life.
