Overview
The course is a basic introduction to playing piano through individual lessons. The course will cover basic technical skills and an introduction to the ground elements of solfege and harmony. The students will focus on understanding music symbols and terminology, using appropriate techniques for piano performance and developing ear training. The students will also be exposed to a variety of musical literature and to the music environment belonging to the history of Florence which will enhance their learning experience through hands-on research and through the participation to concerts and venues offered by the local theaters and opera house. The course is designed for those students with little or no piano experience.
