Overview
This course continues from the foundations laid in the DMIS level 1 courses, to explores the creation, use and impact of digital content and information technology in the arts, humanities and society at large. It brings a human perspective to the issues of the digital age.This course will provide the opportunity to:- introduce further concepts and applications building on knowledge from DMIS 2A;
- explore information theory and structures;
- introduce students to methods and applications of information management within professional criteria;
- examine the use of complex digital objects from a practical and theoretical basis;
- provide students with transferable skills in approaches to technology, critical analysis, problem solving across the arts and cultural heritage sector.
