  • Overview

This module offers students an in-depth study of green political thinking, environmental actors and their involvement in different political settings. Delivered through a series of lectures and tutorials, and informed by the rising importance of climate change policy around the world, the module explores variations in green political concepts, ideologies, and strategies. It equally investigates environmental policy-making  - with a particular focus on the role of public opinion and events or crisis such as public policy disasters. Although climate change policy (as well we energy policy) loom large in all political settings, the module also draws on case studies from other important issue-areas, such as as nature conservation, transport, and sustainable development.
