Overview
Based largely on self-directed study (supported by a lecture and tutorial programme), this module allows studentsto investigate a particular contemporary social issue in depth. A list of suggested topics will be provided, but it ispossible to study other issues in negotiation with the tutor. For their selected topic, students will present key ideasin three formats: a book review; a policy briefing; and a research review.
