Overview
Systematic thought about politics should reflect the insights and avoid the mistakes of the past. This modulefocuses on five writers from earlier centuries are still influential, namely Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau, Mill andMarx. In each case we examine them not just as historical figures but in order to determine the extent to whichtheir ideas are of enduring relevance.
