    This module aims to introduce the conceptual foundations of consumer protection law in Scotland; too
    develop individual and group skills in respect of independent learning and the utilisation of relevant primary
    and secondary legal material; to inculcate the essentials of good legal writing, including clarity, conciseness
    and relevancy; to encourage students to evaluate critically the development, content and operation of the
    main areas of consumer protection law and to highlight, where relevant and appropriate, differences in
    approach in the laws of the jurisdictions of the United Kingdom.
