    This module examines a number of issues and themes central to sociology, social policy and the social
    sciences, in general. This includes topics such as identity, nationhood, class, gender, ethnicity and cultural
    imagery, and examines how these have altered as a consequence of economic and social restructuring. The
    module explores these topics through focusing on contemporary 'Scotland' over the last 30 years.
