Overview
This module examines Scots law governing the organisation, operation and dissolution of family relationships.The relationship between parents and children, spouses, civil partners and cohabitants will be explored alongwith the application of alternative dispute resolution in this context. Where appropriate, consideration will begiven to comparative approaches found in other jurisdictions and to possible law reform. Final assessment isby means of an essay (40%) and a 2-hour unseen examination (60%)
