Lengua y cultura catalanas

This course is intended for students who want to learn more about the language and culture of the city of Barcelona with a focus on contrasting Catalan with Spanish and other romantic languages. This knowledge will allow a better understanding of the Catalan language and culture in relation to Spanish and European culture. In this course, students will be introduced to both Catalan language and culture, with the aim of facilitating learning Catalan at the beginning level. There will be a review of Catalan culture and the traditional festivals of Catalonia, touching on the intricacies of Catalan society.
