    LEVEL OVERVIEW:
    The B-Level student is referred to as an ?independent user? of the language, which means that he or she is able to use language as a social agent in daily social transactions and interactions, and understand oral/written texts to such an extent of autonomy that he or she is able to carry out most of the tasks that involve the use of language in a Spanish-speaking country.

    LEVEL B2.2 ? High Advanced:
    - Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization.
    - Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
    - Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

    1. INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCY
    a. Spanish customs, family life, social classes, pace of everyday life.
    b. Historical knowledge of Spain and Latin America: the Mexican Revolution, the Civil War
    c. Social behaviors
    d. Scandals
    e. Modes of communication: radio, newspapers, magazines
    f. Spanish products and exports, and their influences on other countries.
    g. Globally significant works and characters in Spanish literature: Don Juan, el Quijote, la Celestina, etc.
    h. The evolution of the Spanish Language
    i. Common phrases and sayings

    2. EDUCATIONAL COMPETENCY
    a. Conversational strategies for verbal understanding, clarification, and cooperative skills: ¿Entendéis lo que quiero decir?, ¿A qué te refieres con??
    b. Daily learning ability.
    c. Ability to apply learning and evaluate progress through tests, group projects, and activities.
    d. Develop a vocabulary of personal expressions, phrases, common interactions, etc.
    e. Use of reference materials such as dictionaries, glossaries, etc. to assist in learning.
    f. Use of internet for research and language practice
