  • Overview

    General Description:
    This course covers functions and graphs, especially higher degree polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions; systems of equations; solution of linear systems, matrix methods; determinants; sequences and series, induction; and the binomial theorem. The course also explores applications, approximation, and methods of proof. May be taken concurrently with MAC 1114.
    The students active participation is required to acquire the desired mathematical skills

    Objectives:
    The course is designed to a) enhance your ability to relate and deeply understand mathematical concepts and results and b) develop your ability to apply this knowledge in different fields of science and engineering through the resolution of different applied and extended problems.

    Exams: There will be 2 in-class exams (20% and 30% respectivley) 35%
