    COURSE OBJECTIVE
    The objective of this course is to acquire critical understanding of some of the highlights of Ancient and Medieval philosophy. After this
    course you will have 1) knowledge of some of the greatest thinkers from Western philosophy in Antiquity and Middle Ages; 2) understanding of the main questions this philosophy seeks to answer. After this course you are able to 1) interpret philosophical texts from
    Antiquity and Middle Ages; 2) use and apply some of the core concepts of philosophy; 3) outline the development of Ancient and Medieval
    philosophy in your own words

    COURSE CONTENT
    This course treats Western philosophy from 6 BC to the 14th century AD. It introduces you to Ancient and Medieval philosophy, by studying the thinking of some of the major philosophers of the time. We will focus on the relation between world, knowledge and language (metaphysics, epistemology, logic).

    Interactive lecture; seminar; text analysis
