  • Overview

    COURSE OBJECTIVE
    The goal of the course is to gain a solid understanding of the basic concepts and algorithms of linear algebra. After successful completion of the course, you will understand the basic concepts and algorithms, are able to apply algorithms to concrete linear algebra problems, and can combine different concepts to proof basic statements.

    COURSE CONTENT
    Subjects that will be covered during the course are: linear equations, matrix algebra, determinants, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, and orthogonality.

    TEACHING METHODS
    The course is spread over a period of seven weeks. Each week there will be two theoretical classes of 90 minutes each and two exercise classes of 90 minutes each.

    TYPE OF ASSESSMENT
    There is a written exam at the end of the course.
