OverviewA general survey which explores and analyzes the history and meaning of popular recorded music within mass culture and society. It focuses on the historical, aesthetic, social, politico-economic and technological developments that have shaped the definition of popular and how pop music reflects the cultural and social issues of its times.
Courses and course hours of instruction are subject to change.
Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam and/or pre-requisites.
Some courses may require additional fees.
