     ART 215 (Painting Techniques II) or an intermediate painting course or permission of the instructor. Students are required to purchase their own material needed for the course.

  • Overview

    This is an advanced course in painting techniques, which may include other media, such as photography and printmaking as research aids. Students will further develop and explore personal concepts in the painting medium to produce a coherent body of work. Group discussions and critiques will be intrinsic to this course. Reference will be made to the work of both the traditional canon and contemporary artists across the globe to broaden the students’ range of personal reference. This course can be repeated up to four times.
