OverviewThis course is open to students of Latin who have already mastered the grammar and syntax of the language at an advanced level. All texts will be studied in the original language. Students are introduced to Roman lyric and elegaic poetry through selections from Catullus, Tibullus, Propertius and Ovid. Emphasis will be placed on the interpretation of individual poems and their place in the ancient lyric tradition.

Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam and/or pre-requisites.
Some courses may require additional fees.
Availability of courses is based on enrollment numbers. All students should seek pre-approval for alternate courses in the event of last minute class cancellations
